Scaling and Block Removal

 

Scaling is a high-risk activity used to remove loose rock or block features using airbags, scaling bars, blasting or jacks, essentially releasing high energy projectiles.

 

Our teams undertake scaling on nearly all rockfall sites and are highly competent ensuring total safety. We have developed high risk activity tool box talks, scaling process procedures and training methods to ensure our people, clients and engineers fully understand the geotechnical risk and the environments they're working in with regards to rockfall.
